Terry Palmer - Principal
Function
As Managing Partner of Ashford Partners, LLC, Terry Palmer is responsible for the overall development of new real estate opportunities, including land acquisition, site selection, building design, arranging financing for new assets and re-financing for existing properties, including construction management. Mr. Palmer has specialized in turnkey projects that require close supervision from inception to completion.
Experience
Since 1998 Mr. Palmer has been active in developing and building Class “A” office buildings, medical offices, retail drug stores, shopping centers, light industrial and institutional properties. Ashford Partners has developed, managed and owned over 600,000 square feet of industrial and commercial office space in Western PA. Current projects include the development of a new industrial park in North Fayette Township that would exceed one million square feet of space.
Mr. Palmer gained extensive real estate experience working as head of the real estate and construction department of McKnight Development for almost twenty years. McKnight developed and operated 48 Wendy’s restaurants, in Western Pennsylvania along with bowling centers, Chuck E. Cheese Restaurants and numerous other retail and commercial properties. During his long tenure with McKnight, he was involved in over seventy-five development and construction management projects and was responsible for all real estate acquisitions, site selection, construction management and the property management. Additionally, as President of McKnight’s construction company Jabille Development, he also developed a $5 million multi-family condominium development in Edgewood, PA, performed construction services for projects at Shadyside Academy, West Penn Hospital, Jewish Education Institute and various other commercial and institutional projects totaling over $30 million of construction costs.
With his strong background in development and construction, a working knowledge of commercial and industrial real estate, Mr. Palmer has demonstrated his ability to perform. In addition to his years of experience, Mr. Palmer has completed college courses in Civil Engineering Technology and the Dale Carnegie Business Course.
